When Remote PC Server is running, it displays its icon in the status area (the tray) of the Windows Task Bar. Click this icon to bring up the Remote PC Server window. To dismiss the window, click Hide. This window lets you control all aspects of Remote PC Server operation which are broken up into several categories (pages):

  • General - lets you view the program's version, view your personal registration information for non-subscription licenses and enter your registration information, access the documentation and Access Remote PC web site via the provided links, view the mode in which Remote PC Server is running and lets you start and stop the service if it is running in the service mode, see how long the program was running and view the connection log, lets you show or remove the icon from the Task bar and control the automatic startup of the Remote PC Server at Windows boot time.
  • LAN (TCP/IP) - lets you view and control all aspects of the part of the program that accepts incoming connections via TCP/IP. You can view the name of the computer and IP addresses assigned to it by the operating system, see the TCP/IP port number on which the program is listening and change it, see the listener status and enable or disable the listener, and specify IP filters.
  • Internet (RPC) - here you will find all settings for the RPC subscription service. You can add, change, and remove the RPC number, see the status of the RPC connection, enable or disable the RPC connection, and specify network settings (incuding HTTP or SOCKS proxy) for the RPC connection.
  • Users and Passwords - here you can manage the Access Remote PC user accounts. You can add, remove, and change users, passwords, and their permissions.
  • Active Connections - lets you view the users currently connected to your computer.
